Silver Surrogates

The Silver Surrogates initiative is a vital program dedicated to creating a space of empowerment and value for seniors who still want to be deeply involved in liberation work. By drawing upon the wisdom and historical experience of Free African People, it ensures that the voices of elders are centered in the movement for Social Justice, Economic Empowerment, and Ethical Governance. This program strategically positions seniors as key assets in translating policy analysis into actionable community solutions and building political capital. Silver Surrogate members will participate in direct engagement with civic leaders and elected officials, volunteer and part-time contracting opportunities and placements in various civic leadership service roles.
